Portugal Travel requirements, advice , Coronavirus status and Visa Policy

1. Passengers must have:
- a negative COVID-19 NAAT, PCR or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
- a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
- a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days and at most 270 days before arrival; or
- a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated and have received a booster dose; or
- a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 11 days and at most 180 days before arrival.
Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Covovax, Fiocruz, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) and R-Covi.
For passengers traveling directly to Azores on an international flight, the COVID-19 vaccination or recovery certificates must be issued in Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Benin, Cape Verde, Chinese Taipei, El Salvador, Georgia, Israel, Iceland, Jordan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Moldova (Rep.), Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, North Macedonia (Rep.), Norway, Panama, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Togo, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vatican City (Holy See) or an EU Member State.
- This does not apply to:
- passengers younger than 12 years;
- passengers traveling to Madeira.
2. Passengers traveling to Azores must complete a "Health Form upon arrival at the Azores" and a "Draft statement for inter-island travel" upon arrival.
3. Passengers are subject to medical screening.
4. Residence permits issued by Portugal which have expired on 24 February 2020 or later are considered valid until 30Â June 2022.
