Brunei Travel requirements, advice , Coronavirus status and Visa Policy

1. Passengers entering or transiting through Brunei Darussalam must have:
- a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 2 days before departure; or
- negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 1 day before departure.
- This does not apply to passengers with a recovery certificate where the validity of the period of evidence of infections is not more than 90 days.
2. Passengers entering and transiting through Brunei Darussalam must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
- they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days and at most 3 months before arrival; or
- they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose.
Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP), Sinovac and Sputnik V.
- This does not apply to nationals and residents of Brunei Darussalam.
3. Passengers must download and register on the "BruHealth App" before departure.
4. Passengers must submit an "Arrival Declaration" form on the Travel Portal. The form must be completed online on www.pmo.gov.bn/travelportal at most 24 hours before departure.
5. Passengers must have Travel Health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses (minimum coverage of $50,000BND).
- This does not apply to:
- nationals and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam;
- passengers staying in Brunei Darussalam for more than 90 days.
6. Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate are subject to 3 COVID-19 rapid antigen tests after arrival at their own expense. The payment must be done on https://www.healthinfo.gov.bn/entrypayment/#/user/login
7. Passengers without a COVID-19 vaccination certificate are subject to a rapid antigen upon arrival and a RT-PCR test on day 3 at their own expense. The payment must be done on https://www.healthinfo.gov.bn/entrypayment/#/user/login . They are subject to quarantine until the RT-PCR test result is ready.
